At Dental Iasis we know that every smile is unique and we try to build up the important relationship between the patient and the dentist. Regular check-ups on the teeth are essential and when supplemented by a good daily oral health routine the problems that arise in the teeth remain to a minimum.
What does the test include?
On your first visit, a complete history will be taken so that we have a broad understanding of your individual needs. Your dentist can do an x-ray of your teeth. An x-ray can be very important in diagnosing any issues that might otherwise go unnoticed.
At each check-up, the dentist will do a thorough examination of the mouth, teeth and gums. It will examine the health of the soft tissues in your mouth (cheeks and tongue), check your gums for any signs of gum disease and remove any plaque or tartar. In addition to cleaning teeth and analyzing oral health, the dentist will also offer check-ups for any other oral conditions and offer tips and guidelines for ongoing dental care.
What are the benefits of regular exams?
The health of your teeth is invaluable and prevention is better than cure. Regular checkups give your dentist the opportunity to stop any signs of gum disease or tooth decay and work with you to keep your smile fresh and bright, now and in the future. Regular examination of your smile can detect problems early.
Checks help to

How often should I check?
Your dentist will tell you how often you should check your teeth as part of your oral care routine. This will depend on your individual needs. Some people schedule a dental checkup once or twice a year, while others, who may need or have been treated, need to visit more often. You will discuss the most appropriate frequency for general checks and you will find a date and time that suits you.
